How to fix silver flathead syndrome
The term “silver flathead” has been used to describe the condition.
While it is not known how the disorder occurs, many believe it can be caused by the buildup of silver in the brain.
“We have a number of theories on how silver can accumulate in the central nervous system, including that silver can be deposited on the surfaces of the brain, or on the surface of the scalp,” Dr. Steven A. Miller, director of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), told CBC News.
“But no one has yet found the mechanisms by which silver can cause the condition.”
Silver has been found in many foods, including dairy products, vegetables and fruits.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends avoiding all foods that have high concentrations of silver, including milk, milk products and cheeses.
