The hottest property on the block: The most expensive home in the city of San Francisco

San Francisco, CA—The average price of a home in San Francisco reached $1.1 million in April, up from $1 million a year ago, according to the latest Real Estate Board of Greater Bay Area data.
The average price is up 7.4 percent from the same month last year.
The median price in the San Francisco area is now $1,843,500.
The average sale price in April is $932,500, according the Real Estate Institute of California.
This is down 11 percent from April 2016.
The median price of single-family homes in San Franciscas average price reached $3.5 million in the month of April, down 8.2 percent from $3 million a month ago.
The increase is due in large part to a spike in the number of single family homes sold in the area.
The number of houses for sale in San Francisocas average is up 16.7 percent from last month.
This increase is largely driven by an increase in the supply of single home listings in the Bay Area.
The number of listings for sale rose by 4.3 percent to 1,821,200.
San Francisco is now one of the top markets in the country for single-unit home sales.
In fact, San Francisco’s single-home sales average reached a new record high of 1,717,600 last month, according data from Realtor.com.
The national average was 1,714,400 in April.
